Latin American guitar repertoire from colonial and post-colonial periods remains almost unknown. The Peruvian case and its current research give us precious material of great importance for musicology as well as rich melodic qualities pushing back the boundaries of guitar world. This recital is a glimpse at this music portrait of that peruvian society: Original pieces written for the guitar in the American colonial history and the first years of the Republic experience.
